What is a Subluxation / Joint Restriction?
A Subluxation or joint restriction is defined as: An abnormal relationship between two adjacent articular structures (joints) that may have functional or pathologic sequelae, causing a change in the biomechanical and/or neurophysiological relationship between these articular structures.

This condition can become a major issue if not addressed early on. It may cause abnormal wearing of the joint surfaces which can cause pain, pre-mature degeneration of the spine or other joint surfaces, as well different inflammatory processes.
I am SO thankful for the services that Elite Spine and Sports provide! The chiropractors are very knowledgeable about body mechanics and injuries.

At Elite Spine and Sports, we believe that the injured tight and tender muscles must be treated first in order to reduce the friction, strain and tension these muscles have on the joints. That is why Active Release Techniques (ART) and/or Graston Technique are used in most chiropractic treatments.
